What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy consists of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints to relieve pain, rehabilitate and improve physical function.  Massage therapy has a therapeutic effect on the body.   It has been a proven method to relieve muscle and joint pain, calm the nervous system, improve the circulatory system and promote lymphatic drainage.  Massage Therapists use their excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology to combine traditional Swedish and modern Massage Therapy techniques with exercises and other therapies to restore tissue health.  Massage therapy benefits people of all ages and can be used in the treatment for both acute and chronic stages of conditions.

What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle hands-on approach that works directly with the central nervous system.  The therapist gently works with the spine and the skull and its cranial sutures, diaphragms and fascia to help release tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and toimprove whole body health and performance.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is an ancient natural healing therapy based on the principles that there are reflexes in the hands and feet that correspond with every part, gland and organ of the body.  By stimulating the reflexes, the body is affected.   Foot Reflexology is provided at Egan Therapeutics.
